Video Projects
My roles have provided me with the opportunity for both scriptwriting and capturing content on-the-ground, and I've brought that firsthand perspective with me to produce compelling video content.
From the jungles of Okinawa, to the forests of Poland, to black-tie galas with talent, to events with corporate sponsors and Capitol Hill, I know how to lead storytelling projects beyond the traditional written word.
USO European Expansion & Family Support Campaign
A few months after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, I traveled to Poland with a video crew to support the production of this video. As the USO lead on the project, I provided creative direction throughout filming and was solely responsible for ensuring proper branding while boots-on-the-ground. I led interviews for the video, and also collaborated with local teams and military leadership, while further guiding storytelling by supporting post-production with branding and creative direction.
When U.S. service members quickly deployed to Eastern Europe in 2022, there was limited infrastructure and resources to support them. This video was created to support fundraising efforts around the building of USO Centers and outreach in the region.
The USO is a Force Behind the Forces®
I wrote the script for this USO overview video, working with cross-functional teams (including Marketing, Development, Legal, and senior leadership) to finalize the copy. Here, I focused on honoring the USO's decades of history while connecting it to the organization's current mission, and ensuring brand voice and consistency throughout.
This USO brand video was intended to serve as both an introduction to the organization and a call to action for fundraising efforts.
Human to Human | Celebrating the Power of Understanding
My team and I produced the concept and format of this video and I led the writing of all interview questions, as well as directed the order in which they should be asked throughout the conversation.
This video, which was part of a larger "Human to Human" campaign, embraced the USO's new people-centered brand positioning and aimed to bridge the military-civilian divide. We asked two strangers - one service member and one civilian - to sit down at a table in the middle of a busy airport and simply have a conversation.
USO Care Package Program Video
Working with the USO's Operations team, I wrote the video script for this project with the goal of clearly communicating what the USO Care Package Program is through USO branded language and visuals.
This video is aimed at a donor audience, to demonstrate both need and impact of support, as well as to show the relevance of these care packages to deployed service members.
